If you’re stuck for ideas what to do over the Christmas break, how about a visit to the Sunshine State of Florida and making a trip to Disney World? The theme parks already have a magical element to them all year round, but over the festive period this sense of fun and amazement is only heightened by many of the special events and attractions that are planned.
As a child I was desperate to visit there but never had the chance and I could only dream about meeting Mickey Mouse and his pals. Later on in life I did get the chance and a few years ago I paid a visit. Feeling slightly embarrassed queuing up with the over-excited children, I did finally get to meet the big mouse himself and yes I did have a photo taken with him! Although looking around I saw that although there was an abundance of children, there were also a lot of adults keen to join in and actually seemed more excited than the kids. The magic of Disney embraces everyone, whether young or old and is well worth a trip there at least once in your lifetime.
It is a very busy place at any time of year and you will find that the Christmas period is one of the busiest; however the theme parks try to cater for this by extending their hours, laying on special events and also increasing the capacity of attractions.
